Troubleshooting

A connection stopped updating

Work through stale messages, missing updates, and a connected account that stops responding.

Check the original service

Open the connected service directly and confirm the update exists there. Check that it belongs to the same account you connected to Mitra.

Try a simple, specific question in Mitra about the item. Note whether all requests fail or only recent updates are missing; this distinction helps support investigate.

Check the connection in Mitra

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and select the affected service.
  2. Complete any sign-in, reconnect, or permission prompt shown there.
  3. Confirm the intended account and review the access allowed for the task.
  4. Try the simple request again and note the exact error if it fails.

If the connection appears healthy but new information still doesn’t arrive, it may be a synchronization problem on the service. Repeatedly disconnecting and reconnecting may not help.

For desktop connections

If the connection relies on your desktop device, keep the device awake, online, and running Mitra. Check for a permission prompt such as Full Disk Access or a reconnect prompt for the messaging app.

Follow the instructions shown for that specific connection. Device requirements differ by service; don’t grant unrelated permissions to try to fix a sync error.

If updates still don’t arrive

Contact support with the service name, device and app version, when updates last worked, and the error or connection status shown. Don’t send passwords, access tokens, or message contents.

For an external AI app connection, use the MCP troubleshooting guide.
