Troubleshooting

A file or upload failed

Troubleshoot attachments that won’t upload, open, or produce a useful response.

Check the original file

Open the file on your device first. Make sure it is available locally, downloads successfully from its original source, and isn’t empty or damaged.

Check whether the failure happens while attaching the file or after Mitra receives it. Uploading a file and successfully reading its contents are separate steps.

Try the attachment again

  1. Check your internet connection and return to the intended assistant’s conversation.
  2. If the attachment did not send, try selecting it again. Follow any size or file-type message shown in the app.
  3. If it did send but couldn’t be read, state what you want Mitra to do with it and include the exact error when reporting the problem.

For a text-based task, you can provide a short relevant excerpt that you’re comfortable sharing. If the original request also asked Mitra to take an action, check its status before repeating the entire request.

When to contact support

Contact support with the file type, approximate size, device and app version, time of the attempt, and exact error. Say whether you used an attachment or a link. Start with these details rather than sending the private file itself.
